dawaTech started with a simple observation: the pharmacy is the last mile of healthcare, and it was being run on tools that were never designed for it. Stock in one system, accounts in another, regulatory reports assembled by hand at the end of the month. So we built the system the counter actually needs, in Arabic first — because the people using it work in Arabic.

Compliance was a starting condition, not something added later. Every transaction is recorded in the structure the regulator expects, which is why reporting to SFDA, EDA, and JFDA is an export rather than a project, and why Saudi invoicing follows the ZATCA e-invoicing format from day one.

That approach put us alongside the direction national health systems are already moving. Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 calls for a digitised, data-driven health sector; drug track-and-trace and e-prescribing depend on pharmacies that can report accurately and in real time. dawaTech integrates with government pharmacy platforms including Wasfaty and RASD so a pharmacy meets those requirements as a by-product of doing its work.

The same rails reach further than the pharmacy. Once dispensing, stock, and prices are recorded accurately at the point of care, that infrastructure can serve insurers and health systems too — which is how dawaTech came to support insurance e-claims processing beyond its three home markets of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
