Privacy policy
This policy explains what information dawaTech collects when you use dawatech.com and our products, how we use it, and the choices you have. dawaTech operates through locally registered companies in each of its markets — the company registered in your country is the entity responsible for your data. The policy applies to our customers and visitors in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan, and anywhere else our products are used.
1. The data we collect
When you visit the site, we automatically collect certain information about your device — the web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on it — along with information about how you browse, such as the pages and products you view.
When you register for an account or book a demo, we ask for your name, email address, and phone number.
Payment information is used to process the transaction and is not retained on our systems after it completes.
You can update or delete your information, or unsubscribe from our emails, from your account settings or through the link at the bottom of every email.
2. How we use your data
We use the information we collect to provide the service and fulfil orders placed through our products, to communicate with you, and to screen for potential risk or fraud.
We also use it in aggregate to understand how our products are used and to improve them — and, in line with the preferences you share with us, to send you relevant information about them.
3. Keeping your information safe
We follow recognised data-protection practice: sensitive data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS, systems are password-protected with multi-factor authentication, and we scan regularly for vulnerabilities.
Where possible, personal data is pseudonymised or encrypted so it cannot be linked back to you without additional information.
4. Where your data is stored and transferred
dawaTech is cloud-based. Customer data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure, and backups stay within the same hosting region.
Where the law of your country restricts moving personal data across borders — such as Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law — we store and transfer that data only under the conditions the law sets, and we do not move it to another country unless those conditions are met.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only as long as your account is active or as statutory retention periods require. When you delete your account, the data associated with it is deleted with it.
You can access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website transfers to your device so it can recognise your browser and remember your preferences between visits. We use them to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not work as smoothly without them.
7. What we don't do with your data
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties. The exceptions are trusted partners who help us operate the service under confidentiality obligations, and disclosures required by law.
Payment details, including card numbers, are never retained, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any party.
8. Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand site traffic in aggregate. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie notice; declining keeps the site fully usable. You can also opt out at any time through Google Analytics' opt-out browser add-on.
9. Links to other sites
The site may link to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask us to confirm whether we process your personal data
- Receive a copy of the data we hold and details of how it is processed
- Correct incomplete or inaccurate data
- Have your data deleted
- Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
- Object to processing, unless compelling legitimate grounds require it
- Withdraw a consent you have previously given

By using the site, you accept this policy. If we change it, the updated version will be posted on this page and takes effect when posted — the “last updated” date above tells you when that was.
13. Applicable laws
dawaTech operates through locally registered sister companies — Shift Technology Company (CR 7027742779) in Saudi Arabia and Dawasearch LLC in Jordan, with a local entity in Egypt. The company registered in your country is the data controller for your information.
This policy is written to align with the data-protection laws of all three markets: the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, and Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023. Where the law of your country gives you more protection than this policy, that law prevails.
